Subecca Sheikh

Subecca Sheikh is an Associate Solicitor in the Family Law and Probate team. She adopts a straightforward efficient approach while maintaining a commitment to acting for her clients with compassion and understanding.

Subecca joined the firm in 2016 working closely with Melanie Craig, Jeremy Freedman and Robert Smith enjoying the firm’s client focused approach, expertise and the exceptional work environment of Belsize Village. Subecca works closely with both Melanie Craig and Jeremy Freedman in divorce-based work, financial issues arising particularly in complex, high value cases and complex issues in relation to disputes regarding arrangements for children when the parental relationship breaks down. She has expertise in wills, probate and lasting powers of attorney, often working with Clara Fuschillo to deliver an exceptional service to clients struggling to cope in difficult circumstances.

Subecca has been living in North West London since age 2. She attended Kingsbury High School and later Woodhouse College. She obtained her 2:1 degree at City University London and her post graduate LPC certificate at BPP University.

During her studies Subecca took part in various pro bono programs run by City University London aimed at helping locals with legal queries in relation to start up business and housing issues. She excelled in areas where she was prompted to counsel, negotiate and provide client care and was awarded 1 of 36 places for the City University Snap Shot Scheme.  She has also been an active member of her local community and volunteered at the Brent Young Peoples Law Service, where she worked closely with young teenagers and vulnerable members of the community. The skills and knowledge acquired whilst volunteering, she believes, are essential to the practice of family law.

Subecca is a strong advocate for a healthy work life balance and so spends her down-time boxing, hiking, cycling and wandering the various food markets London has to offer.
